GAMBOL HILL FARM- Located in the heart of West Windsor’s horse country, Gambol Hill Farm greets you with stone walls, mature trees, open fields and paddocks throughout the property. The beautiful post and beam home, set back off the road, stands tall among the mountain views in the background. The stone patio, complete with a vine covered arbor and edible grapes, looks out over beautiful gardens and horse filled fields. A six stall barn is attached to one end of the house, allowing for easy access to the horses as well as to the outside. Inside the house, wide pine floors run throughout and lovely wood beams crisscross between the walls and ceilings. The first floor is open with a nice flow between the living room with stone fireplace to the dining area and kitchen. Beyond the kitchen is an office and a tackroom/mudroom connected to the stalls. At the opposite end of the house is a primary bedroom with en suite bath and walk-in closet and there’s a small den across the hall. Up the double railed stairway are two large bedrooms, both with en suite baths, connected by an open balcony that looks down below. This property is part of the GMHA trail network and close by is the VAST Snowmobile trail. The Brownsville Butcher & Pantry and Mt. Ascutney are just a few miles away, while GMHA and Woodstock are about 10 & 15 mins respectively. A must see for the horse enthusiast or anyone looking for country living.

The Town of West Windsor (population: 1,099) is located in Windsor County, just west of the Connecticut River and the New Hampshire border, in east central Vermont. The village of Brownsville, in the town of West Windsor, sits at the northwestern base of Mt. Ascutney (elevation 3143 ft.), a central feature of the town's landscape. Mt. • Woodstock, Vermont is the quintessential New England historic town. It sits in a valley surrounded by low-lying hills that nestle rather than overwhelm, and is a community snuggled around the Ottauquechee River. Woodstock is home to many excellent shops and restaurants, the Woodstock Inn & Resort, a great middle and high school, and it never fails to serve as an incredible place to go for a walk or meet someone for coffee.

Those who choose to reside near Woodstock continue to be some of the most educated in the world, some of the most accomplished “captains of industry” in the country.  You’ll find filmmakers, war correspondents, writers, artists, military experts, doctors, high-tech entrepreneurs, rock stars, equestrians and happy soccer moms and dads all grabbing a coffee in town. Woodstock also attracts its fair share of Dutch, English and French, many of whom are reminded of home by the gentle hills, winding dirt roads, cows, sheep and horses in pastures next to beautiful weathered barns. Even if it’s not the old country, it has the feel of a place with deep roots.

  • Hanover is home to Dartmouth Health, boutique shopping outlets, fabulous food, and more. One of its main attractions is Dartmouth College (one of the Ivy Leagues and the ninth oldest college in the nation), and in part due to its youthful atmosphere, the town enjoys a lively, 'New England cosmopolitan' business district. Hanover offers an incredible mix of activities from access to the White and Green Mountains to its arts and culture community not to mention the obvious intellectual benefits found in a college town.

  • Quechee is the site of Quechee Gorge on the Ottauquechee River and is also the home to the Quechee Lakes planned community initiated in the late 1960s, which brought to the community the small Quechee Lakes Ski Area in the 1970s.  The ski area has 13 trails and 3 lifts. Perched atop the falls of the Ottauquechee River, overlooking a covered bridge, Simon Pearce offers glassblowing demonstrations, a renowned restaurant, and new bar.
